My second book from this author - enough template to just get going, but also enough theory to rapidly mash up one's own designs. I use a Silhouette paper cutter to rapidly move to prototypes, using dotted cuts for score lines.

I'm Graphic designer and I bought this book a few months ago, in my country not exist a similar like this, the truly remarkable on this product is it gives you the possibility to create a well-made packaging from primordial bases. Now Im teaching the subject of packaging design a group of students and the method used by the autor is really practical and friendly even if you don't any idea about boxes or package. Inspirational reading

I originally wanted this book for ideas on making larger custom boxes but all of the designs are more in-line with crafting. There are excellent layout sheets that you can copy and enlarge so you aren't trying to figure out where to make all of those complex folds. As I was reviewing the contents, I was inspired to start working on some smaller craft projects but I really don't have the time right now, but in the future, this book will be a great reference. Every artist/maker should have it on the shelf just in case.

About the Author
Laura K. Guerrero has been at Arizona State since 1996 where she teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses on relational communication, nonverbal communication, statistics, and research methods. Her research focuses on communication in close relationships, emphasizing nonverbal messages, emotion, and the "dark” and “bright” sides of interpersonal communication. She is the co-author/co-editor of Nonverbal Communication in Close Relationships (Erlbaum), The Nonverbal Communication Reader, Third Edition (Waveland Press), Nonverbal Communication (Pearson), and the Handbook of Communication and Emotion (Academic Press).

Peter Andersen (PhD, Florida State University) is a professor at San Diego State University. The author of five books and more than 150 book chapters, research papers, and journal articles, he has received recognition as one of the 100 most published scholars in the field of communication.

Walid A. Afifi (PhD, University of Arizona) is professor in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he teaches interpersonal communication, relational communication, nonverbal communication, and social marketing. His research revolves around people’s experience of uncertainty and their decisions to seek or avoid information in relational contexts.

Great encounter with this book

How nerdy am I to be reviewing a textbook right now! But this one is honestly very informative and interesting. I am a communications scholar and I actually look forward to reading this textbook. The chapters are a little lengthy, but they are replete with relevant information you need to know, and I have learned a lot. Important terms are bolded, and the summaries are helpful although I don't usually read them. It arrived in a timely manner, as well.

"The Forgotten Bible Reading Method" written by Wayne Davies is interesting reading.
It is especially good in promoting us to read repetitiously the Holy Scriptures. We learn by repetition in our minds, but by the Holy Spirit in our hearts (spirits). It i said that we we should read one book again and again until we master it. It would be better said we should read it until it masters us. The written word of God is alive and active in our lives because Jesus Christ is alive and active in our hearts, and HE is the word of GOD.

Love this approach

I read Wayne Davies' book in one sitting because it kept my interest. Anytime I can read about getting into God's word deeper and finding alternative ways to retain His word, I am an interested participant. Wayne's suggestion of reading the 66 books of the bible one book at a time is a unique approach that I have started to do. I have started reading the book of 1 John as he suggested. I have probably read it at least seven times. It is so interesting to read it over and over again and see something different or to have it all make sense by the Spirit providing understanding. Or if there still is not understanding I am digging deeper and researching other commentaries on the verse. I have been saved since 2007 only by finally reading the bible. God's word is powerful. I learned things I never knew because I had no one to tell me the truth. When I first read the bible I could not get enough of it and everyday I was anxious to learn more. But reading the way I was only created very little retention of the material. Wayne's technique of reading one book at a time until I feel I have it in my heart has given me a new excitement for reading the bible again. I look forward every day to have God teach me His word with more understanding. Thank you for a new approach. "I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review."

Petri R�is�nen (born 1967) is an internationally renowned and respected yoga teacher. A devoted student of his guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915–2009), he is co-owner and director of Ashtanga Yoga Helsinki, one of the world’s largest yoga centres. He lives in Helsinki, Finland.

Petri Raisanen's Ashtanga Yoga: Yoga in the Tradition of Sri K Pattabhi Jois is an essential resource for the current standard of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series as it is taught and practiced in Mysore, India. The author includes a detailed history of his path within Ashtanga Yoga, of how the system has changed and adapted as Guruji (as Sri K Pattabhi Jois was affectionately known by his students) and the system came into contact with the Western world. The principle aim of his book is to "offer an accurate documentation" in a clear and precise format, of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series. The author provides detailed instructions on all of the elements of the asana practice: correct vinyasa count, the use of bandhas (energetic locks), the dristhi (gazing points). He even gives helpful comments for students just beginning their journey into the Primary Series. The photographs, by Alexander Berg, are stunning black-and-white pieces of the author expertly performing the postures, with sharp contrasts between the tones. The book is bound as a durable beautiful hardcover. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in yoga, and in Ashtanga Yoga in particular.

Thorough Guide to Ashtanga

This book is an excellent detailed guide to Ashtanga yoga. As a student of Patthabi Jois, Petri offers readers the deepest insight into the roots of practice and philosophy of Ashtanga. I believe, this book is great not only for beginners, but also for those, who are already familiar with Ashtanga practice and wish to deepen and perfect their knowledge. It has incredible form and structure, beautifully precise photographs to show every asana in the book, and amazingly detailed explanation of alignment, breathing and terminology. Love this book, much respect and gratitude to the author!

Valuable Resource

Petri stays true to the tradition in this book. I have a few books on Ashtanga by various practitioners and this one is my favorite. I appreciate his emphasis on the spiritual tradition since I have discovered that this particular style of yoga taps into something very deep within that I always heard was there but never felt it until now. Petri provides the traditional vinyasa flow where the full Surya Namaskar A was in between every asana. He also provides the modern day version where half Surya Namaskar A is done. It gives options to both new and seasoned practitioners, in my opinion.

One of my favorites!

I love to cook various Asian cuisines and therefore, I own quite a number of Asian cookbooks from various regions. Bill's Everyday Asian is classic, simple, easy Asian food. I love the recipes, the instruction and the quality of the food that you can produce with these simple preparations. I've actually heard him say this before "food doesn't have to be complicated or fussy to be good" and it doesn't. This is another great book from Bill Granger.

Some cracking recipes

I have cooked a few of these recipes and they have gone well.
Mostly these are quite well known dishes but I still found them to be quite impressive. There are quite a few recipes form an assortment of Asian countries and there were a few that I hadn't tried before.

Generally everything seems accurate and the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

The photos are nice and the book is sturdy and well produced. No signs of falling apart which some cookbooks are prone to do.

It does seem a little pricey but I would still recommend it.

I was recommended this book by a friend and it's absolutely brilliant. Really good, strong flavours. The first dish I tried was the vietnamese chicken and lemongrass and we all LOVED it. I must make it once a week now. I made the beef and orange salad for a golden wedding and even the most ancient guests cleaned their plates. Also have to mention the tomato chill prawn stir fry - delicious. Lots of flavour, plenty of sauce, I keep coming back this book.

Ronen Bergman did it again ! A must read !

A talented storyteller and the most authoritative reporter on Israel's security establishment, Bergman tells the story of Yehuda Gil. Gil a highly regarded Mossad operative who provided ill guided intelligence that almost led israel and Syria into a war.
Many tried to understand what can motivate Gil to provide such potentially disastrous intelligence but once again only Bergman managed to get the story and to get it right. Chapeau !

Great story, but even more so - great story telling. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys John Le Carre style stories, only this one actually happened.

A fascinating story

A fascinating story by Ronen Bergman that sweeps the reader of its feet. You won't be able to keep your hands off the book until you finish reading it. Ronen Bergman's writing alongside the story itself are a complete pleasure for the reader. Sources of information only he has and stories only he is able to find are the foundation of his book. Ronen Bergman's talent is so unique that he can sweep the reader into the story. I would definitely recommend this book.
