Best book on the subject matter.

This is the only book that explains the differences between orthodox Sunni Islam, salafism, and extremest salafi's. It highlights the key differences in ideology and explains the complex theology of islam and the variations within it, the checks and balances. It does NOT pigeon hole terrorism as strictly political, nor does it say it's strictly ideological.
A good read.
