About the Author
Arlene lives in Louisville, Kentucky where she is Founder of The Gabriel Project 930, a drug addiction ministry reaching out to addicts, their families, and her community. She is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky where she earned her Master of Divinity Degree in Christian Education with a concentration in Women’s Leadership. Arlene is married to Keith Rice, and has four grown children, and is Mimi to Joshua, Caleb, Emily, and Shaylynn.

Close to home

This book and the word spoke to my heart and confirmed so much for me and made me want to reach out to others more. I hope to read about Gabriel's life and journey and to continue to read updates about Lindsey. I will be telling several people to read this book. I dearly love you Shy and your family.

TRULY INSPRIATIONAL

this is a must read for anyone who either has or knows anyone with an addiction. as i read each page my eyes welled with tears for the heartache and dedication that arlene has with her family. i truly appreciate you putting this in words for each of us to read so that we walk away with vital information. i have 2 books so that i can pass one along to someone and they can pass it along to someone else and so on. thank you for sharing your experience and being brave enough to open up about it and letting others know there is no shame in someone having this disease so they may finally get help.

When you have a love one that struggles with addition life can be dark

This book is exactly what it says- Hope for the Broken Road. When you have a loved one that struggles with addition, life can be dark, scary and depressing. This book offers hope and gives direction on: what to do, where to seek help and most importantly TRUST IN GOD. Through this book I was able to find treatment for my brother. Arlene I can not thank you enough! God works miracles! Thank you! THANK YOU! God is FAITHFUL and MIGHTY to save! :)
